The Black Bobbin® Boost is a dual clean boost conceived by Shelby Pollard of Black Bobbin and designed by us. Each boost brings its own character: Bump is extraordinarily clean with a pleasing mid and high push inspired by a mythical overdrive, and Boost is a warmer transistor-based design with the ability to get overdriven. With independent routing, each boost can be placed anywhere in the signal chain, and together they make a pretty nice overdrive if we do say so ourselves.

Controls include:

• Output to control volume of the Bump circuit

• Internal trimpot to set voice of the Bump circuit

• Output to control volume of the Boost circuit

• Gain to set input gain of the Boost circuit (with potential for light overdrive at maximum) 

• Tone to voice the Boost circuit via a tilt EQ, where below noon lows are boosted and highs are cut, and above noon lows are cut and highs are boosted

• Independent footswitches for Boost and Bump

• Signal routing via top jacks

• Soft-touch bypass footswitches for true bypass and minimal switch noise
